The coachman’s at the door
Checking his watch
He knows the score,
The sequence, the deadline
Down the road
Heeding the call,
the end of the magic
Door closing too soon
As night, PM
Crosses to ‘Morn
Sitter watching TV
and the clock
Meter running
Another hour, a few more dollars
Before the gong
When the coach
Reverts to reality
