I lay back in
My lover’s arms
On the porch
Under a star filled sky.
How close I felt to her
Her smell, her skin.
Our words of love
Dripped into the
Humid air.
Fireflies danced before
Us, one then soon four
High off the ground
Even about the second floor.
Holding each other tight
Feeling comfortable
At peace.
