Becoming the sacrifice
taking our sin
that God would not exact
his judgment on us
Like the first Passover lamb
the blood painted on the wood
the frame of the doorway
like the wood of the cross
God’s grace in this
taking our sin
going to the cross
though we were in sin
Dying for us
before we believed
dying while we yet were
living with the pigs
