The green sky over the water
rising from the depth
beyond the bright horizon
far off to the east
After a night on the dunes
the grasses of the guard towers
the bunkers below us
entombed in concrete
The brilliance of the dawning
the water like the sky
alive with brilliant colors
the dew by our side
Lost in our own thoughts
silent this morning
the laughter of the evening waning
under the green sky dawning
