Translated From The German of Emil Rittershaus.
THE human soul–a world in little;
The world–a greater human soul;
The eye of man–a radiant mirror,
That clear and true reflects the whole.
And, as in every eye thou meetest
The mirrored image is thine own,
Each mortal sees his soul reflected,
In all the world himself alone!
