In praying, alone in our room
we, mere humans,
following Christ’s teachings
reverently, honestly
talking with our creator
Bringing our joys and celebrations
aware of his gifts in our lives
sharing our petitions
that which can only come from him
Asking, and listening
communing with God
coming to the Lord
knowing he will answer
our loving, humble prayers
