God’s commandment
to pause and sit at his feet
To remember and to linger
to think about the creator’s feat
The world and all that is in it
by his hands came into being
Our cares, our worries
nothing God cannot resolve
if we bring them to him in prayer
The words of his scripture
the story of God’s love
stopping to read and remember
our lives within his hands
In sabbath moments
stilling our troubled lives
reaching for the savior’s hands
finding the spirit within our hearts
