Yes, we have far to go
so far to go in this world,
in this country, in the work
of the Savior, to spread love
to all our neighbors, to be a neighbor
to all in need, to all, no matter
their color, their creed,
to walk with our brothers,
our sisters, to fight for them
when they are attacked
To speak out against
intolerance, hate, cowardice
to say to those with the epithets,
with the lyrics, the noose, the swastika
the hate, that we are not afraid
that love conquers all,
that hope will prevail
if we have faith
