Merely shoots on the vine
not yet branches
not bearing all the fruit
I could bear
so I feel, so often
unworthy, grafted;
but still needing pruning
Open to the correction, the pruning
the changes I must make
to be branches on the loving vine
to be strengthened, fed,
to be heavy with fruit
to share with all those who are hungry
all who come to the vine to eat
