He who was sent by God,
sends us, out into the world,
to continue his work, to be the messenger
the light cast, shining, a beacon,
into the darkness, beyond the sanctuary
out into the world, to where there is hurt,
to where there is loss, to where there is despair
There is hope, there is salvation, in him,
in relationship with God, restored
by his sacrifice, we have grace,
we are made whole, brought to the father
by our accepting this commission
we can know the savior and can look forward
to that day when we will see God face to face
