I live in a little house near the sea,
Glassy by day,
But night-time sound of water rumblingly
Kisses me with spray.
And somehow bones of men cry out,
Acoustic of sea shells:
Feet of lovers wandering about
In green and slimy hells.
O night-time stars, look down in pity
For houses by the sea–
In life there is a great and barren city,
Loverless like me.
