A family of five
with three balls,
and stomachs still full of turkey,
of pancakes, and sausage
ran and played together,
in the park this morning,
laughing and chasing
each other, the balls
around the windswept field
kicking, catching, running
getting winded,
laughing some more
enjoying the day
so glad we were able to share
the warm fall
sun-filled hour or more
and the family time
all too often forgotten
in filled days and busy lives
