After the molding, the shaping
the creation of our lives
the potter still there
the firings, the heat,
the flames and trials
our struggles, our growth
ever by our side
Ever remaining new clay
alive, malleable, in
the potter’s hands
even our shards giving,
able to be whole again
as new clay, back
upon the potter’s wheel
