Color mismatch
Movement out of place
A short, broke yew,
late in the summer
Dark green,
Leather skin
Shiny
Broken branches
Dull brown
Ripe red fruit
Drinking in the sun
Bent to crush one
between fingers and thumb
As a child
Goosh
A praying mantis
dayglow green
Hiding poorly
in the branches
Rears its body
to my intrusion
Study each other
What threat am I
To those eyes,
Leave him be
Scared enough
No camera anyway
Alien head
Tokyo dream
Lobster mandibles
kangeroo arms
Seemingly
ready to punch
