Strong sons of Britain overseas,
Strong, brave and true, as on that day
When first, in ages passed away,
Your fathers’ vessels felt the breeze!
Brave sons of Britain far away,
Ne’er be your arms in battle shamed;
And may the Empire you have framed
Grow great and prosper, day by day!
True sons of Britain, oft of yore
We faced the banded world for you:
Forget not whence your strength you drew,
True sons of Britain evermore!
