Picturing yourself, one of the two
walking that dusty road, with Christ,
exploring your heart, poured out in the confusion
the uncertainty of the resurrection, still brand new
to walk with the savior, at his rising from the dead
ears burning with the truth of his story,
the revealed meaning in his life, his ministry,
the journey he had traveled.
Walking, as one of the two,
with our Lord
A fellow servant,
ready to take up the work
to spread the good news
to other listeners,
to make disciples
