AND does yon dome its lord revered deplore?
The friend, the patron of th’ industrious poor;
Whose bounty in no narrow sphere confin’d,
Diffusive spoke the man of lib’ral mind;
Of loyal heart, still true to Britain’s cause,
Firm for his King, his country’s sacred laws:
His gen’rous acts, while they proclaim his praise,
The best memorial to his name shall raise.
