Sitting, thinking of you
writing down a prayer
for all of us who loved you
who love you still
Many images
coming to my mind
of good times and sorrow
remembering you
God brought me an image
as we sang to heaven
Christ and the three crosses
his arms open wide
The image I treasure
over the pool
where you gave yourself
humbled yourself to him
Somehow a balm
as the tears came to me
kneeling before God’s altar
knowing you were there
In that heavenly city
in the clouds on high
walking with our savior
watching us from above
