Beauty of woman, savour of her kiss,
The mystery of love that turns to be
The bite of an eternal cruelty,
O secret, silent creature, what is this.
One memory of so many memories,
That holds me and enfolds me, heart and brain,
If I but see in memory again
The infinite enigma of your eyes?
