A meadow aglow
In the quiet dusk
Sitting on the porch
Drawn to the field
Mason jar in hand
Lid pierced for breath
Chasing the light
In the wet grass
Damp with dew
Captured by the spell
Of the moment
Laughing at the wonder
Cupping the luminance
Between my fingers
Feeling the cool warmth
Night vision
Insect feet on my skin
Collect a few
Where did the light go
Til they start again
Coleman mantles
In miniature
Casting shadows on the table
From the logo and seam
Open the lid
Go to bed
Empty in morning
Loaded with memory
As I close my eyes
To see the night
