Like Job he stood, a man without blemish
by the rules of the law, the law of the people
doing what was asked of him, to stand righteous
righteous before God
But he missed the point, the reason for the submission
the acts of piety, a pious life
made so by the spirit within
by the love he shared, poured out
to God and man;
For he judged others
and their walk,
when he was like Job
and needed to remember
his need for grace too
