To understand the sabbath
the meaning of the word
remembering the creator
and why he stopped to rest
A time of reflection,
a time to linger at his feet
to leave the world
and seek the presence of the Lord
All that was and all to come
beyond our power to make
setting sabbath time
to remember the potter’s feat
Nothing beyond his power
nothing too big for God
all our troubles, all our cares
let go and leave to him
