The wisdom of Solomon,
a pale reflection, blurry image
The Son spoke of the Father’s love
a parable of the loving father,
a prayer modeled on his life
reverently living, the pious life
Praying to the father, in heaven,
as we would to our fathers,
if we could find the words
these words, a mirror on the father
echoing back his love
a hope for life in relationship
with him, always, thy kingdom here
our lives an offering
to our real father
