Jesus and the two thieves
each dying on their cross
coming to the end
the moments slipping away
Lessons in their choices
how they faced their ends
ways for us to reflect on our lives
before our own days are done
The lamb, sacrificing
following the will of God
humbly following his commands
giving us his all
The first thief jeering
condemning God by his side
going to death on his own
filled with earthly pride
The second thief different
humbly petitioning for his life
but not the one of this earth
seeking lasting treasure instead
