This Holy Saturday
trying, with mixed success
the emptiness, the devastation
To stand in their shoes
to be of one mind, with the first disciples
in their despair, after his ministry
after their walking with him,
living, defined, as his followers
His betrayal, capture, his trial and judgment
his suffering and his cruel death
His life and their purpose
sealed in a rocky tomb
Holy Saturday, before becoming Holy
a loss beyond comprehension, beyond measure
Needing their mindset
to understand Easter.
