The glory of God
the unseen, almighty
the eternal Creator
of heaven and earth
God seen, alive
in the face of Jesus Christ
the Son come down
carrying His love
We see God,
we know Him profoundly
in the way of our Savior
the one who went the cross
Born in the stable
wrapped in swaddling
offered gifts
that told of His future
His walk in this life
We see more
in the face of the Messiah
in the one who came down
to wash away our sin
and redeem us for heaven
God alive,
living with us
Emmanuel may have risen
but the Spirit remains
to lead us to heaven at the end of our days
