Ensnared by the world
not able to let go
to break free of the briars
going with the flow
Captured by the cares
the worries of this life
living in the flesh
failing to turn to the light
Weeding, pruning
clearing away the briars
we must share
the joy on the way
Only in giving
in sharing good seed
hope for those ensnared
by the thorns of this world.
