In a twinkling of an eye,
they have grown, become older,
more mature, little ladies,
not just the girls I met
not so long ago,
little ladies,
in more grown up clothes,
going off to school
to learn and grow some more
so quickly they have changed
in height, in poise
in presence, each of them.
Careful not to turn away
for they will be grown up
all too soon.
