Yes, everything I’ll give to you,
And for myself just keep
The cloud there floating in the blue,
The dragon-fly that leaps,
The birches that are changing hue,
The autumn landscape’s hum,
The million drops of sparkling dew
That to the boughs have clung.
How fine to roam the peaceful fields
When warm sun strokes green shoots,
When you can hear the rustling breeze
Touch lightly gable roofs,
See gleaming woods,
The countryside
extending
everywhere,
And meet your youth again, green-eyed
With flowing golden hair…
