I want the best for you, only the best
that you would have an easy time in life
knowing the love, the care, the trust you desire
the close relationship with friends, with family
with your God, your Savior
knowing that when you speak you are believed
that there is no doubt, no hesitation
that you are valued, forgiven
I forgive you
for the moment of untruth,
the telling of the lie.
Cement to set the breach, the break
to seal the gap
to get us there again
when we hear your words
and believe.
Just as our Savior
forgives us all,
for our every sin, every breach
for the nails we made him wear.
Just as he told us to do
Seventy times seven.
