The sun comes up,
And soon goes down;
I look in the mirror,
And still see a frown.
*****
I used to be happy,
And life was kind.
Now I am hurting,
And feeling so blind.
*****
What happened to me?
If I may ask;
There is nothing there,
When I perform a task.
*****
Is my heart dead,
Or just very cold?
Do feelings die?
As one grows old?
*****
Whatever happens,
I don’t seem to care;
I just gaze into darkness,
With a silent stare.
*****
As my thoughts run wild,
I start to sigh;
Because I have the answer,
I know why.
*****
A man can lose wealth,
Then lose it all;
But nothing will ever hurt,
Like loosing his doll.
