They followed
when he said to follow
not a request, not a question.
He didn’t ask, “will you follow me?”
He made a promise, a pledge,
giving purpose to their lives,
lives spent fishing, mending
They would now fish for human hearts
“Follow me,” the Master said
and they left all to follow him
