The word made flesh
living today
saints who are Christ to us
living expressions of the word of God
his ambassadors, in the flesh
saints who we remember this day,
lights burning on the altar, their names
raised in prayer, held in our heart
God’s word alive, in the hearts of the faithful
living out their lives, as Christ,
being his hands, his feet in the world
bringing his message
to the ends of the earth
imprinting their memory
his love, his saving grace
on generations to come
