Gathering goods
food for the needy
brought bit by bit,
bag and box
to the altar of God
offerings from our abundance
a bounty brought to the chancel
by our children
carried lovingly
in the heart of worship
thanksgiving offerings
of this household of faith
at the harvest,
before winter
