not servants, no longer slaves
our prayer, before the sermon
changing the words,
from “speak Lord, your servants are listening”
to “your friends are listening”
A different way of thinking,
of our relationship with God
friends, through the one who came to earth
God in the flesh, walking as we do
with daily struggles, the way of life
made companions with the creator
through the servant king
giving his all,
in the journey to the cross
so that we may be friends of life
not slaves to death
