A row of picture frames
descends the stairway
from the upstairs to the living room
Four images frozen in time
preserved and presented
for friends and visitors
A fifth frame of wood and wire,
without glass or image,
hangs in space with the others
poised and ready
For another moment of her life
Mounted and preserved
on her wall
