Fragrant oil,
filled the room,
at its pouring
spilling out,
expensive and rare,
falling on the feet
the dusty feet,
of the king,
anointing tired
walking feet
traveling feet
of the messenger
the Savior
Poured out in love,
in caring, in prescience
by Mary, the disciple too
Soothing the feet
of the healer, the Son
before the final march
the plodding climb
to Golgotha,
the skull,
the cross
