You loosed the whirlwinds
That day in June
Setting two settled souls
Off their pilings
Forced to face our realities
And our fears
Living outside comfort
Risking everything
Overwhelmed still by uncertainty
Adrift with the floodwaters
Hoping to land and germinate
On fertile soil
New life with you
All I dream of,
All I pray for
Each time Sleep stalks me
