For those before us
for our mothers
our wives
our daughters
For all mothers
on this your day
we honor thee
Giving us, out of love
care and nurture
raising all your children up
out of your love
Healing us when we are hurting
cheering when we
need your praise
Life coming from you
new creations
so small, vulnerable
from this we come
To walk this earth,
without the mothers
none of us would exist.
