Still nights
On the calm water.
Late summer
on the lake.
Crisp nights
Fog in the morning
A chill in the air.
Rocks exposed,
An empty boat launch,
Full-grown ducklings.
Leaves of crimson and gold
Join the yellow
Lily pads.
Fall is coming.
