Macaroni and cheese,
boxes sitting on the counter,
waiting for the water to boil
Little pearls of gas, building
on the dimpled Teflon coated pot
lined up in neat little rows,
ready to accelerate, to bubble
to boil, churn, mix and escape
the water above, into freedom
the cool air of the kitchen
Dissipate into nothingness
like a spirit reaching nirvana
all good karma, dying into air
lost in the great unknown
