Wondering how the days
have been for my brothers
leaving the community
in the upper room.
Being sent, by the Spirit
as witnesses, as missionaries
commissioned and blessed.
Sent back into the world
to bear the cross, the yoke of Christ
spreading his message,
the power of his life
teaching, sharing the love of the Father.
Testifying to the grace, the gift
our lives redeemed, life everlasting
by the blood of Christ alone.
Spreading the word, being Christ,
through the days of our lives;
walking as children of God
bearing witness out into the world.
