As night fell, heavy
so did the snow, light
dancing, twirling,
shimmering, flickering,
the street lights,
the light from our back window
catching glimpses, movement
the choreographed ebb and flow
the petals of snow, white, bright
against the graying sky
night falling in our backyard,
outside my window panes
