Christ, choosing to submit
to relinquish his heavenly throne
coming to earth, living
as a servant alone
Giving up his independence
by choosing to follow the master
giving us a give beyond measure
when God became a man
Remembering the one who sent him
onto this mortal coil
walking the way of a servant
at the master’s command alone
