He stayed above the waves,
above the waters of doubt
while he stayed focused
Christ, on the water himself
Faith enough to venture out,
to believe he could
A moment of pure faith
defying gravity
only falling when he turned away
Saved, above the waves again
when he called out,
felt the hands of God
lifting him up
