Thinking of the walls
the stones we use
within these walls
individual cities
fortresses of stone
walled off from our neighbors
no sense of community
utterly alone
Believing too much
in our myth of independence
our need to pull ourselves up
to stand on our own
Our rock instead
the love, the grace of God
his example in life
to help our neighbors out
to walk anything but alone
