Hanging on for dear life,
even at thirty, she must have
regretted her choice to perch on the edge
of the window, of the van
the spider on the outside of the window
as we went down the road,
proud of itself as we stopped at the
red light on Canal, not so happy
on the highway, a remorseful stowaway
lost in turbulent flow
