At our table, gathering, Luke
searching the scriptures, the lessons
for a recipe for a life, lived in piety
blending undivided attention, focused on the Lord
a full measure of time, spending our days with him
with a pinch or more of authenticity, all we are.
Add complete honesty, to ourselves and God;
offer our whole life, not a mere piece;
add depth of our worship, diving into the living waters
and a dash of spiritual direction, to keep us on our path.
Bake in an oven of prayer, the crucible of our hearts.
Serve liberally, as a servant, with a side of action.
