In the small space
the spare bedroom-sized place
between the maple tree
and the shrub, just beyond
the dandelion patch
a carpet of clover
sways in the June breeze
new blooms bursting
ready for the harvest
of little hands,
of shrieks of joy
and giggles of wonder
