We know so well what the unique quality was that held this great and beautiful pride and exquisite humility together. It lay in the relationship he held with God. We know the familiar idea of Jesus' oneness with God only we deal with it too much as a doctrine of the Church, not as an element in Jesus' own experience. If we never find it in reality, in life, we cannot reveal the true Christlike character at all we will always be trying earnestly to be something, but on too superficial and obvious a plane.
The real challenge that we face in our communications with others is to condition our hearts to have Christlike feelings for all of Heavenly Fathers children. When we develop this concern for the condition of others, we then will communicate with them as the Savior would. We will then warm the hearts of those who may be suffering in silence. As we meet people with special needs along lifes way, we can then make their journey brighter by the things that we say. Christlike communications will help us to develop righteous relationships and ultimately to return to our heavenly home safely. May we treasure the divine gift of communication, and may we use it wisely to build and to assist others on this marvelous journey through mortality.
If you believe in an unseen Christ, you will believe in the unseen Christlike potential of others.
Christlike love is a gift of the Spirit.
